Atebubu in rural Ghana, Africa
Dear Friends,
Wow is all I can say! We just got back from two weeks in Atebubu which is a small farming community in central Ghana surrounded by remote villages. There is so much to tell I don't know where to start just catch the headlines below and click on the items that seems interesting to you. We did everything from a baby dedication in a village church to preaching the gospel, leadership training, equipping the saints and healing the sick. Working in partnership with Peter Atiah (pictured below) from Assembly of Zion Church and Revival to the Nations Ministry Schools we saw the Lord do amazing things. Many muslims came to Christ and we learned a lot about the culture.
It took us time to adjust the heat, the frogs, the snakes, the killer ants and killer bees which Peter keeps on his property. We ate great food prepared by our host and we even picked up a guinea fowl threw it in the car and ate it later that night. Take time to check out the photos and videos too. Thank you again for your prayers, support and desire to see the Kingdom of God advance throughout the earth! We love you all and miss you. -- Blessings, Stuart and Cathy Greer
IMPARTATION SERVICES IN
LOCAL CHURCH
Our ministry in the local churches of the rural farm community of Atebubu has been very interesting. First of all the people are very shy and would not look us in the eye. We thought they were having a difficult time receiving because they showed no expression or outward manifestation. (continued)
SEVERLY INJURED MAN IN PAIN IS HEALED
One amazing story was about a man who had multiple surgeries in the local town. The doctors butchered him so bad they left him in constant pain. He went to the city to get another surgery and the doctors were shocked when they saw him. They said, “Whoever worked on you could not have been a doctor.” They tried their best but they could not help him. Stuart had no idea what was wrong with him. He just prayed for the Lord to touch him and he was completely healed. Praise God!
100'S OF CHILDREN GIVE THEIR LIVES TO CHRIST
Today we made a visit to Zion Elementary School for the poor with three hundred children and seven teachers. You would think with that teacher to child ratio
there would be large classrooms but no they are just simple mud brick dwellings with tables and a few chairs. Some of the walls are only waist high with one painted black so the teachers have a chalkboard. The cement floors are minimal and the reason for the condition of the school is simple, it's money. The church established the school and a visiting missionary paid for some swings and a merry-go-round. Still the kids are happy and feel blessed to be learning English and Math. The only other subject is God’s moral law. (continued)
A LITTLE MONEY GOES A LONG WAY
It’s amazing to me
how a little money can change so much here. Can you imagine sending a student to school for only $8 a year the same price of a two Grande Lattes with soy and extra foam from Starbucks? Then there's the high need for teachers at only a cost of $600 per year. It seems crazy yet here is this school with so little changing the destiny of 300 kids. To know and learn English and Math means you can make a living. It’s huge for them this wonderful gift of education we all just take for granted. (continued)
