100's RECIEVE CHRIST, MANY ARE HEALED AND NEW CHURCHES ARE BORN
Dear Friends,
You may not know this but Cathy usually does the writing and I do the editing on these updates but this time you will be hearing from me, Stuart. Going to central Ghana and planting churches has it’s trials, in the form of transportation breaking down, risk of disease, flooding, bad roads, bad infrastructure, food, accommodation and spiritual warfare. But places in remote areas like these are gold mines for reaching those who have never heard the gospel! Your prayers and support have brought in precious souls in the kingdom that may not have been saved otherwise.
You see, there are some trustworthy apostolic leaders in native lands all over our globe doing the stuff, but they have few financial resources. Even though the harvest is ripe, many times evangelism is slow due to lack of money for transportation, sound equipment, Jesus films, etc. One dilemma for a pastor might be, if I go to preach the gospel in the village, who will work my farm and how will my family eat? Our resources in the west, partnering with our poorer brothers and sisters in the other nations can pour gasoline on the fire of evangelism!
That’s why we are happy to partnering with Pastor, Peter Atiah and plant these churches. In three weeks we were able to plant four churches with a fifth one on it way. The team would travel to each village for three days and nights. There they went from hut to hut visiting, praying and evangelizing. At night they set up the sound equipment for the outreaches. The village would gather together to sing and dance. Then the gospel was preached followed by healing prayer. Most of the villager’s accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior and many were baptized.
Testimonies of healing included pains that would leave many parts of their bodies (neck, back, chest, hips, stomachs, legs). One woman, holding a cane in the air, testified she had been unable to walk for seven months, (because of this condition, her husband had left her). She stood before us walking unaided with a big smile on her face. A village elder said we would have accepted Jesus sooner but nobody had ever come to the village to tell them about Jesus. Some testimonies were quite different. One man said when we prayed he left his body and went up, be he didn’t know where he went and then he returned. Hundreds were healed!
We did however, encountered a problem in the fourth village, even though two hundred made a verbal profession of faith many did not come forward to get baptized and start the church. Upon inquiring of this unusual event, we found out the village was named after an idol. This idol was hidden in a scared grove of trees. The villagers feared if they served Jesus and come to church, the idol would kill them. Pastor Peter told me if no new church members die with in the first three weeks (for example from malaria or a snake bite), the village would loose fear of the idol and the rest would come to church. However, if a church member dies, the church will fold. A different kind of spiritual warfare then what we are use to! So we would really appreciate your prayer for each of these churches and their pastors.
I was very pleased to see the 350-pound, mobile sound system we brought, being used on the outreaches. The sound was clear, loud and sharp. We also bought five new motorcycles for each Pastor to travel to and from the new village church. The pastors were charged to teach them and raise up elders. These elders will eventually lead the new church. Each pastor will sheppard a village for at least six month to a year. Mission Support Network has committed to pay $50 per month salary for each pastor for six months. This monthly salary should meet their basic needs for food and perhaps shelter. We will also be getting a status report on each village in six to twelve months to see how these new churches are doing. There will also be two-day discipleship workshops this month for each village.
All in all it was a good trip. God willing, we will return in February to plant more churches and explore new areas where the Harvest is ripe! Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
God bless you,
Stuart and Cathy Greer

GIVE A MAN A FISH, FEED HIM FOR A DAY, TEACH A MAN TO FISH, FEED HIM FOR A LIFETIME!
Cathy and I believe God has given us a vision for the harvest. We want to be like hunting dogs with a keen sense of smell that can sniff out areas in the world where the harvest is ripe. In these areas I want to partner with honest servants of Christ to help them do their work. Instead of a never-ending stream of money to one organization I want to provide businesses so that their evangelistic efforts can be self-sustaining without so much outside help. As an example, if our partner had a tractor in this agrarian community, they could help their members make a living by farming their land, haul crops to market and raise up to $3,000 a month for evangelism. What a deal? A $15,000 investment would provide a $3,000 a month stream of income to fund a soul-winning ministry. Ideas like these can enable us to cover more territory and have an increase in the great end time harvest.
