Revival Fire For Pastors From Liberia

Dear Friends,
We just got back from a meeting with the Pastors and Leaders at the Liberian Refuge Camp here in Ghana. This is a UN camp for Liberians who fled a civil war in their country over seventeen years ago. At it’s height the Liberian camp had 45,000 people in it but recently they have been order to leave by October so that number is now about 15,000. It’s a long process through the UN to return and they have been told they can only leave with 50 pounds and each are given a $100 to move. Some of them have built homes; have children in schools, pastors had entire congregations of both Ghanaians and Liberian but now all of them must pick up their lives they have built and leave it behind. Many of them of course don’t want to leave and their situation is difficult to say the least. There was a time they were offered integration into Ghana. But not understanding or trusting the offer because it did not include things they felt they needed they said no. When the Ghanaian peoples heard this they were really upset. From their perspective all the years of help to turn down the offer to integrate was like a slap in the face which you could understand. Now anger towards Liberian is prevalent in Ghana.

Our hearts were broken for the situation but the Lord began to give us prophetic words for them. Stuart stood before them and talked about Liberia telling them that only 40% of nation is Christian. He wept as he told them they must see their homeland the way God sees it. He told them they needed to go back with a new vision and fire for revival and that the Lord wants Liberia to be saved! He went on and told them even thoughthey have no choice they needed to see this from a spiritual perspective, as an opportunity to change their nation. Wow, it was so powerful. Then the Lord gave me Psalm 27 for them. I preached from it with all my heart and God came and really encouraged. Every teaching was tied to the subject of prayer and faith. Before we left we had words we would carry revival fire. I could see it burning in the hearts of these leaders by the time we were done!

The next day Stuart did an incredible teaching. He taught from Mark 11:20-25 and spoke to them about the mountain in our lives, what they look like and how to remove them by faith. It was a word from the Lord for them. I thought wow, this is so good, and I pulled out my journal and started taking notes. I was seriously blown away as saw the Lord activate Stuart’s teaching gift.

FIRE TUNNEL & HEALING TESTIMONIES
On day three I spoke about fear verses faith encouraging them to walk into their new lives with hope and faith. We then did a special ministry time, which included a Fire Tunnel or Prayer Tunnel. Which is basically two rows and as you walk between them people pray for you. We told them in addition to the ministry that the Lord had shown us some those attending would be healed. Once everyone received prayer we asked people to come forward and share their testimonies. Many of them told us how special the last three days meant to them and others told us that the Lord had healed them. One pastor testified that when he heard and saw what we were doing for the ministry time he was extremely skeptical. He came with pain in his hip and leg, something he had suffered with for some time. The more he prayed for people walking between the rows the pain increase focus on those coming through the line he forgot about his hip and leg. Suddenly he realized he was completely healed! Praise God! Another testimony was from a pastor who was in the hospital when he felt like the Lord told him to come to the meeting. He literally took his IV out of his arm and checked himself out and came to the meeting. As soon as he came through the pray line he was completely healed. That was awesome! We all rejoiced together over the amazing things the Lord had done. At the end they honored us and presented us with the clothes you see us wearing in the photos. Stuart’s outfit is something you would traditionally see a chief of the village wearing and my outfit was as bright as the sun. Spending time with these pastors encouraging them during this difficult time of transition was a divine appointment and we were truly blessed. PRISON CHAPLINS
We had an opportunity to meet with a group of Prison Chaplins. The prison ministry in Ghana is interesting. Prisons in the US are like resorts compared to the prison in Ghana, which might be by why they don't have as high a return rate. These Chaplins are amazing, unlike a church they have no congregation that can tithe and support them. They are all ministers who must work another job or raise support another way.

The Lord really gave us words for them to encourage and build their faith. Prior to going I had prepared nothing while we were waiting for the key to open the building I began to watch a few birds it was amazing one was working the other was watching and protecting the nest that was being built. I watch the one working totally unaware of the other one protecting the work. God is so good. He watches over us as we go about his work and he tells us not to worry look at the birds. Wow, I had my message pulled together within five minutes. Thank you Jesus! It turned out to be the word they needed to hear. When we were done we began to minister personally and the power of God started to flow. People were healed and the Fired of God was moving powerfully through Stuart. Of course those of you that know him will laugh just picturing this ministry time ss he roared over these pastors! :)

PRAYER REQUEST
FOR NAVRONGO

We are now preparing to go to Navrongo for a pastor's conference, revival meetings in the local churches and three small crusades. We are flying to the most remote spot in the country. We actually fly then drive for two hours. The area is mostly muslim and our schedule is non stop. Please pray for the Lord's continued favor, grace and power. You're prayers mean so much.Thank you so much.

COMING HOME!

We have had a change in our schedule so we are coming home August 20th and will return October 1st for some church planting in Ghana and if the Lord provides India before returning home in December. We look forward to seeing all of you. We have some meetings we will be doing in the area but we're praying the Lord will open more doors. Personally I am looking forward to a shower with hot water! Shaba!
